Stephen Kilfeather, PhD, CEO and Co-founder

Stephen Kilfeather is co-inventor of Aeirtec’s novel proteomics platform - Matrix Pro - and inventor of the dual antibody affinity state-derived high sensitivity assay component within the platform; with all aspects being patent-awarded across USA, EU and China. He has over 30 years experience in translational immune and inflammatory cell and clinical pharmacology and 10 years experience in translational cardiovascular research. He was a consultant in phase 2 respiratory anti-inflammatory clinical trial biomarker design for Astra Zeneca, Novartis and Boehringer Ingelheim and Principle Investigator on anti-inflammatory clinical trials for Boehringer Ingelheim, GSK and Altana in phase 2-4 trials. Through direction of a Site-Management Organisation for conduct of anti-inflammatory clinical trials, he also generated a platform for acquisition of human inflammatory disease tissue for conduct of immunopharmacology. In collaboration with Dr Elaine Lee, he established the essential role of leukotrienes in innate immune cell survival leading to biomarker design in phase 2 anti-inlfammatory leukotriene antagonist trials. He directed the evolution of blood biomarker multiplexing within Aeirtec, leading to stratification within several immune-related disorders with respect to severity and response to treatment through combined high sensitivity blood biomarker multiplexing and multivariate analyses. He has authored or co-authored over 40 peer reviewed publications and reviews.  He received BSc and PhD in pharmacology from University of London.
